UnderSea Pig Massive update...

Hey there,
It's been a while since my last confession... mainly because I haven't had a chance to do a lot building. Having said that however, the seepage has come quite a ways since the last post.

The general build was done a while back. Besides the props I added some wings, a cast steel texture, (using Mr.Surfacer 500), weld seams (using Aves) and some details here and there... also made the periscope a bit fancier.

Here are some progress shots:

Then I wanted to give him some kind of specialty tool... for his left arm. The laser wouldn't work under water, so I thought of some kind of torpedo rig, but ultimately settle on some kind of grinder tool with and extra grab claw.

This al had to be scratch built so that is what I did.

I used styrene and some donor parts... mainly styrene.

Next up is covering the joints with epoxy putty.

Hi there,
I've been taking a little break from my workbench after finishing my last two project kind of simulaniously... I have worked on little thing, but nothing serious.
Anyway I though it was time to something again so I started work on the Seapig from Wave.

Initially I thought it would be a nautical suit, as the name was kind of suggesting... but it was another space suit...
Well I decided to turn it into a nautical suit anyway.

I took the props from a kit of a 1:72 pilot boat and stuck them on this guy.. fit like a glove.

This is all I've got to show for so far, but you get the idea.
I'll also scratch it some fins, a periscope and maybe some other nautical accessoires...

MK44 Prototype Completed

It's done and dusted... with some pigments (ba-dum zing).
I washed this guy with oils.

Added some last minute details (a coiled cord coming off his helmet) and dusted him up with a layer of pigments.

Sorry for not taking your through this one step by step, but the pics should speak for themselves...
